Emmanuel; a sharp, happy, playful, mischievous was 5 years old when he was diagnosed with Wilms’ Tumor (Cancer of the Kidney). Emmanuel just loves to sing, dance, jump, climb, and run. Every time he walks into a room, he lights up the place with his antics. He loves to play around with friends especially Inioluwa, a fellow cancer survivor; and also play pranks.
Emmanuel was diagnosed with Wilms’ Tumor in December 2016. His mother was devastated and confused because she never knew that children could have cancer. It was indeed a big challenge for the family as his sister had to stop schooling; and they had to move from Togo to Nigeria, leaving their businesses.
He is a bright child and knows the names of his doctors and drugs. With the help of TDCF partners, Emmanuel got a scholarship and he is back to school to play with his friends in school and learn the names of his teachers and primary school books.
